Thank you! Nuevo Comienzo 2018 helped raise over $5K for #MoreLatinosInNews

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Chicago Chapter, would like to thank the sponsors and attendees of our Nuevo Comienzo 2018. Thanks to your generosity, this year we surpassed our goal and raised over $5,000. These funds will help us grant scholarships to Latino journalism students in the Chicago area and help send one of our members the upcoming national convention in Miami.

We are extremely thankful to Ronero for donating their space and time, to Tito’s Vodka for sponsoring drink and to all the businesses and individuals who so graciously donated auctioned items.

Our Nuevo Comienzo was a complete success thanks to all of you who support #MoreLatinosInNews. We hope to continue serving and working with you to create more inclusive newsrooms that serve all. In addition, we want to keep striving to empower Latino journalists and communicators, provide opportunities for leadership and growth and engage in educational opportunities.
